The family, who live in Kent, chose to have an 8m x 4.5m x 3.55m, pitched roof Granny Annexe built for their elderly Grandmother, so that they could care for her. The first step was to go through the brochure and also complete a free site survey with one of our professional surveyors, so that our design team can put together 3D drawings and an itemised quotation.

Project – Kent
Granny Annexe
Year
2013
The final Granny Annexe design was built in just 4 weeks and included one double bedroom, an en-suite bathroom complete with a double shower, vanity unit, sink and toilet, plus an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. Granny Annexe completed all ground works and foundations, installed all armoured cable for the electrics and the Sanipro system, and connected this up to the main consumer unit – this was all included in the price.
For ease of entry into the Granny Annexe, a pressure treated timber ramp was also installed outside. The interior walls were painted with matt white emulsion, and the family chose a red cedar timber panelled exterior finish, to fit in with the natural surroundings of their garden.
The family prefer a modern, light an airy look, so they chose to have 2 Velux style roof windows installed to let in lots of natural light to the lounge/dining area, and they favoured an all-white kitchenette consisting of floor level units with white doors and Black Stone satin laminate worktops.
