This video by our customer shows the process of the Granny Annexe build, alongside some beautiful photography.

The family first came to see us at Grand Designs Live in London, and were instantly impressed with our life-size Granny Annexe on display. After downloading a brochure, they booked a free site survey appointment with us. During this time, we also looked after their planning permission application, which was agreed just 8 weeks later, with no fuss.

We looked after all aspects of the construction, from the initial concrete foundations right through to the final decoration, as well as installing the electrics, fitted kitchen and bathroom suite. After just 5-6 weeks, the Granny Annexe was ready to move into.

The family were ecstatic with the final result and loved how light and spacious the Granny Annexe felt. Simple design features such as gable end glazing in the lounge area really make a difference to the overall appearance and feeling of space. Another highlight of the Granny Annexe is the large decked veranda, which the family plan to furnish with a patio table and chair set during the spring/summer months.

The family wanted the Granny Annexe to fit in with its natural surroundings, so they chose the organic look of Western Red Cedar for the exterior, with complementing oak UPVC window and door frames.

Overall the family are thrilled with the end result, where they feel reassured that their elderly mother will be happier, safer and cared for in her new Granny Annexe home, just 20 metres from the family home.
