MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE ELDERLY

 

It's a sad fact that as we get older, some things become more difficult to do.

 

That's why whenever we build a Granny Annexe, we always take into account the needs of its future occupants.

 

We put plugs and switches in places that are simple to reach, taps that turn on and off without effort and windows that are low maintenance.

 

As part of the project we can install easy access baths and showers, emergency pull cords, wheelchair ramps and remote control systems.

 

At a more fundamental level, every granny annexe we design starts from the principle that it has to be user friendly. Amongst other things that means reducing trip hazards and making everything as accessible as possible.

 

It's all about making things just that little bit easier and taking the worry out of everyday life - for everyone involved.

OUR BUILDING PROMISE

 

Even though building a Granny Annexe takes place with minimum disruption to you, any construction work inevitably causes some upheaval.

 

But here are some promises; we guarantee to start and finish on the agreed date, make just two significant deliveries to site and not increase the price of the project half way through.

 

Want to know what we'll be doing?

Week 1

 

The heavy work. We dig holes and lay foundations. We also put up the building shell and the roof.

Week 2

 

Time to get on with the interior. The cladding goes on, as does the plaster. We undertake the initial electrics and plumbing.

 

Week 3

 

The things that make a house a home. Kitchens, showers, wet rooms, bedrooms etc are installed, along with the carpets, painting and decorating.

 

Finally, we give the home a thorough clean, make any last minute adjustments and hand over the keys. It's all yours.
