Our Granny Annexes come in all sorts of sizes, so this 24.8m2 Granny Annexe built in Buckinghamshire is on the smaller size of what we can offer. The Granny Annexe has fitted cream kitchen units with black stone laminate worktops, which come with a brushed chrome sink, oven, extractor fan hood and a 4 electric ring hob – plus a smoke alarm.
There is a white, en-suite fitted bathroom suite which consists of a double shower, sink and toilet, plus a chrome ladder style radiator. The lounge area fits a sofa bed with lots of wall to ceiling storage and am office desk too. The internal walls of the Granny Annexe are fully-plastered and painted with matt white emulsion, giving a clean and modern finish.
All of our Granny Annexes come with laminate flooring as standard, where the customer chose a warm beige Oak hue. The pitched roof is tiled with real roof tiles and finished with black rain water guttering to complete the look. Underfloor heating for the lounge area and pressure treated timber steps were installed outside to the entrance of the Granny Annexe as extras to our standard features.

We’ve recently finished building a Granny Annexe in Wiltshire for the Luker family, who needed a Granny Annexe so that their elderly mother could live closer and be cared for easily by other family members. The Luker family chose a pitched roof, rendered Granny Annexe, complete with a large bedroom, which fit a double bed and plenty of storage.
The spacious L-shape kitchen includes our standard style of white units with a black laminate worktop. We also provide an electric oven, stainless steel four ring hob, including a brushed chrome, modern extractor fan. The compact bathroom features a double shower, chrome heated towel rail, white vanity unit with hand basin and toilet.
Black Mini Stonewold tiles lined the pitched roof, where we also fitted black plastic rainwater guttering to the exterior and then rendered the Granny Annexe in cream, fire retardant render and the corners were lined with brick quoins. Two electric wall heaters were fitted in the lounge and bedroom, which come as standard with all of our Granny Annexes.
As our Granny Annexes are built using 100mm thick structurally insulated panels (SIPs), it means that they are extremely insulated and keep warm in the winter and cooler in the summer months. Our UPVC windows and door frames with double glazed glass are also very well insulated and strong.
We have just finished a brand new Granny Annexe in Cambridgeshire, but this time it was clad in natural Western Red Cedar timber panels. Fitting in with its beautiful surroundings, the pitched roof Granny Annexe measures 11m x 4.50m and is 3.80m in height.
The spacious Granny Annexe was designed to have separate rooms instead of an open plan design. There is a kitchen, large lounge, bathroom complete with bath and shower, plus a bedroom with a magnificent view and a wall of wardrobes for extra storage.
When we visited the new Granny Annexe it was moving day so it was full of boxes, but we could see how much space the customer had for all of their belongings. Details wise, the customer chose light golden oak UPVC windows and door frames, natural oak laminate flooring and chrome light and wall fittings.
We looked after all aspects of the build, right from the ground works and foundations, right through to construction, all materials, glazing, decoration and laminate flooring. We also installed all electrics and lighting and the plumbing.
Our recently completed L-shape Granny Annexe in Oxfordshire has a stunning Western Red Cedar timber front exterior. To comply with building regulations, the two sides of the annexe had to be rendered with fire retardant stone-coloured render.
The hi-specification Granny Annexe with bi-folding doors into the lounge/kitchen and dining area is very large, standing at 4.04m high and 67.34m2 area of floor space. The pitched roof is completed with Marley Rivendale slate roof tiles, and 5 Velux windows, one with a clever rain sensor fitted to the kitchen window.
The double bedroom has wall to ceiling storage space and wardrobes along one wall, and next door there is a bathroom with a double shower, heated tower rail and toilet, sink and vanity unit. The Granny Annexe also has a 7.75m2 office with additional storage and a 3.50m2 utility room too.
This Oxfordshire Granny Annexe has many luxurious touches including engineered oak flooring with underfloor heating throughout. Health and safety is always a main concern for us, so 2 security lights were fitted outside, plus a smoke detector and a separate heat detector in the kitchen.
The Granny Annexe team had a lot of fun taking part in Macmillan’s Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning on the 26th September, raising money for such a good cause. As it was the World’s Biggest Coffee morning, we couldn’t help but bake tons of baked goods and serve pots of tea and coffee to celebrate.
The coffee morning kicked off around 9.45am, where the team laid out their freshly baked wares. Our Managing Director Stuart Anderson took on the guise of ‘Paul Jollywood’ (instead of the legendary baker Paul Hollywood from the Great British Bake Off), to judge all of the cakes and biscuits, where our Brand Executive Jessica won the bake off with her delightful coffee and walnut cake.
We also took advantage of the 2 competitions on offer with Macmillan’s information pack, where our Administrator Hannah and the Marketing and Sales Director James were lucky enough to win.
Our Designer, Mervyn took up our ‘Bake a Cake at Work’ challenge, where he had to make a cake from scratch using the office microwave. Mervyn’s lemon drizzle cake worked out pretty well, although needless to say, ‘Paul Jollywood’ didn’t dig the taste (or look).
The Coffee Morning was a great success, where we went round the local business park and sold the rest of our cakes to get more donations for Macmillan. More importantly, we raised a staggering £152.82 in just an hour!
